29/11/2015 04:14

Method 1:

First, I would suggest you to uninstall the current driver as it might be corrupted and restart the computer. When you uninstall the driver and restart the system, windows will automatically detect and try to install the Microsoft Basic display drivers. Refer to these steps:

a)      Press Windows key +X, click on “Device manager”.

b)      Locate the Display adapter and right click to select properties.

c)       In the “Driver” tab, click on “Uninstall driver” and press OK to save changes.

d)      Now restart the computer and check.

Method 2: Hardware and devices troubleshooter

The Hardware and devices troubleshooter is a built in troubleshooter that can detect and fix most of the errors related to devices. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

a)      Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

b)      Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

c)       Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

d)      Run the “Hardware and devices” troubleshooter.

Method 3:

If the above steps didn’t help, then I would suggest you to boot the computer in safe mode and try installing the drivers. Refer this link to boot the computer in safe mode:

You can select the appropriate operating system and download the drivers from here:

Method 4:

you have a Laptop.. you should get your drivers from the Laptop manufacturer as they are sometimes non standard - so if you having problems .. get the drivers from the laptop manufacturer. they may not be the very latest - but they should work more reliably.
